Reginald “Reg” Whatley

I'm a California-based photographer and videographer, forever drawn to the unscripted pulse of the world—whether it's the raw indifference of nature, the quiet loyalty of a companion animal, the bold ingenuity of human hands, or the unfiltered truth of a life fully lived.

a Publik Servus serves as the home base—the LLC and landing point that holds space for these evolving trademarks and ventures. It's where the threads connect: a curation of eclectic imaging in analog and digital forms, always with an eye toward education, appreciation, and protection—of nature's fragile balance, and of the animals we call family.

Under Reg Whatley Inspirations I curate and share that natural grandeur: The vast Oceans, landscapes, skies, wildlife, elemental forces that invite viewers to step outside themselves, to feel small in the best possible way, and to carry a piece of that awe back into daily life.

Time has a way of revealing what matters. I've spent years roaming the globe, camera in hand, witnessing Random Acts of Nature: the sudden violence of a storm giving way to impossible light, the patient reclaiming of land by wild things, the everyday miracles that unfold without fanfare or audience. These moments humble me. They remind me that the world doesn't need us to exist, yet when we show up fully present, something profound can pass between observer and observed—a shared recognition of beauty, fragility, resilience.

Man Made by Handis the study of man’s attempt to mimic Mother Nature’s symmetry in both black and white film and digital color. I’ve always been fascinated by the shades of grey tones, the shapes of contrasting angles, the artistry either by mistake or by a moment in reflection of the sun or the moon casting it’s beams into shadowed patterns. Black and white film awakened the passion within, carried my curiosity far beyond the challenges of being human

That family focus lives fully in Happy Pet Moments, my dedicated pet photography business Here, the lens turns intimate: capturing the soulful gaze of a dog who's seen you through every season, the playful mischief of a cat in full sunbeam, the unspoken bond between human and animal. These aren't just portraits; they're testaments to unconditional love, to the way pets teach us presence, forgiveness, and joy in the simplest of things that matter most. I am Commissioned for Photographic Sessions where your pet and you are most comfortable. The deliverables Come in a variety of Substrates to Decorate and Commerate Your Loving Pet Well After. Sessions happen in your pet's comfort zone—home, yard, or favorite outdoor spot—because authenticity can't be rushed or staged.**Let’s Begin to Acquaint Ourselves

And then there's Phase-moir—my continuous, unfolding work-in-progress, soon to launch with its own dedicated space. This is where the personal converges with the [so to speak] creative: a raw collection of memoirs, the great and the good, the ugly and the horrible, the mistakes that shaped me, the loves that sustained me. Interwoven are music videos, original lyrics and compositions across genres, photography, videography, and translations into multiple languages. The depths near an abyss of mine Heartfelt necessitated Advanced Workflow It's unfiltered life in your face—because hiding the hard parts dishonors the journey.

All of this stems from a single, deepening conviction that has grown stronger with time: when experience accumulates—when wisdom, talent, and hard-earned expertise reach a certain threshold—it stops being just personal. It becomes a responsibility. To share openly, without polish or pretense, in the hope that one single person might benefit: might pause before repeating a mistake, might find courage in seeing their own struggles reflected, might discover a spark of inspiration or comfort they didn't know they needed. Paying it forward, helping others is, in my opinion, is the definition of humanity.

I don't pretend it's easy to carve out the time for all of this amid the demands of life and work. But the act of creating, curating, and releasing these pieces—whether a single frame of untouched wilderness, a pet's knowing look, a hand-built car's gleaming curve, or a memoir chapter laid bare—is itself an ongoing act of gratitude and duty. It's how I pay attention to the world as it is, and how I offer what I've learned back to it.

If any of this resonates—if a photograph, a story, a song, or a moment captured moves you to reflect, to grow, or simply to feel less alone—then the time invested has already served its purpose.

Welcome. Stay as long as you'd like. There's always more unfolding.
